Chuancheng Well-Downhole Operations Company's H103 well achieves high-yield industrial gas flow.
China National Petroleum Corporation News (Contributed by Mao Jian) – On April 16, after 2 hours and 35 minutes of meticulous operations, the Chuanqing Drilling Downhole Operations Company successfully completed the composite soil acidizing treatment in the Xuni II section of Well H103. The operation involved injecting a total fluid volume of 228.2 cubic meters, with peak pumping pressure reaching 90 MPa and maximum displacement rate at 2.6 cubic meters per minute. Testing conducted on April 21 confirmed an impressive daily industrial gas flow of 800,600 cubic meters. Located in Huaguan Town, Nanbu County, southern Sichuan Province, Well H103 is a rolling evaluation well strategically positioned within the Zhongtaishan structural feature of the Sichuan Basin. The well is designed as a directional well, having been spudded on September 9, 2018, and fully drilled by January 20, 2019, targeting the Xuni I formation at a total depth of 4,550 meters. The primary objective of this acidizing treatment was to gather critical data on the fluid properties, production rates, and reservoir pressures of the Xuni II section, thereby fulfilling the original drilling objectives for this well. During the acidizing process, the team encountered significant challenges due to the wide span and pronounced heterogeneity of the target reservoir section. Additionally, there were no previously treated wells in the Zhongtaishan block’s Xuni II section, and guidance from neighboring areas proved somewhat limited. Despite these obstacles, Chuanqing Downhole Operations Company rigorously adhered to the detailed construction plan, successfully executing the composite soil acidizing treatment across the 92-meter-long perforated interval. This achievement not only underscores the company’s technical expertise but also provides vital support for unlocking high-yield gas flows from the Zhongtaishan structural feature in the Sichuan Basin.

Bohai Equipment's "Steel Dragon" debuts in service after being launched into the water in Xiamen.
China National Petroleum Corporation News (Contributors: Li Changwang, Tao Zhiqiang) – In the early hours of April 18, the offshore sinking operation for the 1,374-meter-long, 1,600-mm-diameter seawater pipeline project in Xishui East Diversion, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, was successfully completed. This marks the official start of the pipeline’s more than 30-year underwater service period—a rare feat nationwide, as this section of the "steel dragon" was manufactured by Bohai Equipment Company. The Xishui East Diversion original water pipeline project is a vital public welfare initiative and a key construction project for Xiamen City. It involves laying approximately 15 kilometers of 1,600-mm-diameter pipelines, with the submerged section crossing the waters of Tong'an Bay being the largest-diameter pipeline segment ever constructed using the immersed tube method in Fujian Province.

Market issues in the security wire and cable industry are gradually emerging.
The power industry has long served as a pillar industry in China, holding a crucial position in the national economy. Since the rapid economic growth of China beginning in the 1990s, the wire and cable manufacturing sector—playing a vital role in the power industry's supply chain—has also experienced robust expansion. Particularly in recent years, as China’s economic development has encountered bottlenecks related to energy and electricity shortages, the country has continuously increased its investment in the power sector, propelling the industry into a period of remarkable growth and advancement.
